The Snare Drum Generator builds snare sounds from scratch in the browser using the Web Audio API. No samples, no plugins — a triangle oscillator for the tonal body, bandpass-filtered white noise for the wire rattle, and a separate highpass transient path for the initial snap. Add waveshaper drive and a brightness filter, dial in seven parameters across three groups, preview instantly, and export a one-shot WAV.
Body — Body sets the level of the triangle oscillator that gives the snare its tonal weight, Tone controls the fundamental frequency from a deep crack to a ringy ping. Wire — Noise is the bandpass white-noise rattle that defines the snare character, Snap adds a sharp highpassed burst at the very start for stick-like attack. Shape — Length sets how long the body and noise ring out, Drive pushes the signal through a waveshaper for crunch and harmonics, Brightness is a lowpass tone control that darkens or opens the overall timbre while always preserving the wire and transient character of the snare.
