The Bass Tone Generator synthesises bass sounds entirely in the browser using subtractive synthesis with the Web Audio API. No samples, no plugins — three oscillators (sine, sawtooth, square) are continuously crossfaded via a Shape control to morph from a clean 808 sub through rich sawtooth harmonics to a hollow square punch. A dedicated sub-oscillator one octave below the fundamental adds low-end weight. A resonant lowpass filter with an envelope sweep shapes the timbre from deep and muffled to bright and acid. Tweak six parameters across three groups, preview instantly, and export a one-shot WAV.
Tone — Tone sets the fundamental pitch across a focused C1–B3 bass range, Shape morphs the main oscillator waveform from pure sine through sawtooth to square — sine gives you 808-style sub, sawtooth opens up harmonics for acid and house, square delivers hollow punch. Filter — Cutoff sets the lowpass filter base frequency, Sweep controls both the filter envelope depth and resonance — higher values create the characteristic acid “wah” attack. Envelope — Decay sets the amplitude envelope from a tight percussive hit to a long sustained note, Sub blends in a pure sine sub-oscillator one octave below for extra weight.
